    Recruitment Tips

Being on the Panhellenic side of recruitment can be an eye opening experience. This week I have learned tons about recruitment which I will share with you throughout the next semester, but here are a few tips or last minute reminder for those going through recruitment soon.

    1. Have fans! Nothing is worse for the PNM or the chapter than to be trapped in a hot room. While ost places have air conditioning it can easily break. Have back up fans just in case.

    2. Offer water. Even if it isn’t mandatory giving water to PNMs keeps them happier. Offer small bottles because it prevents spilling and is easily handed out. Nothing is worse than spilling a drink on a PNMs sundress right before she has to go to another party.

    3. Recruit throughout the week, not just at parties. Have all sister wear letters every day. Be sure that you are seen across campus. This may mean going to the dining hall as a group or just taking a walk around campus. Being seen on campus  makes the sisterhood you talk about in a party seem real.

    4. Stay positive!  Even if you are stressed to the max keeping a smile on your face is required.

I look forward to sharing more tips with you in the next few weeks. Good luck with recruitment!

Awesome tips! They really do work! Having fun during recruitment lets the PNMs know that we are real people! And we aren’t just putting on a show! I think the most important thing about recruitment is making the PNMs comfortable! So take these tips and have the best recruitment EVER!
      GOOD LUCK!
